About Derrick Allen and Camp Camp Camper

Derrick Allen
Golf pro Derrick Allen has been unlocking the secrets to playing well for children and adults, beginners and advanced players, since 1987. He is well known for developing golf skills, and he instructs his students in course management, rules of the game and etiquette. His emphasis on fundamentals has attracted students from former President Bill Clinton to actors Morgan Freeman, Mandy Patinkin and David Duchovny. Two of his junior golfers are ranked first in Southern California in their age brackets, and a former student was a Los Angeles City Champion who won a scholarship to UCLA and now plays on the LPGA’s Futures Tour.

Derrick has served as head coach for the Crossroads School and Marymount High School varsity golf teams. He also founded and serves as president of the Alan Pacific Group, a sports camp and special events company featuring activities in golf, slot car racing, and flight stimulation. His latest endeavor is the West Side Junior Golf Tour, giving youngsters the opportunity to increase their skills by playing in tournaments and competing for a championship. In the summer of 2016, Derrick will open his golf computer lab and Sports Academy at Los Angeles’ Rancho Park Golf Course, featuring camps for golf, basketball, soccer, baseball, table tennis and chess.
