Debbie Bosdosh, PGA Associate Instructor, Co-owner SBGA

Debbie has been around the game of golf for the past 42 years. She was introduced to the game through her husband, PGA Professional Steve Bosdosh. Steve and Debbie are co-owners of the SBGA. They raised four children allowing her to learn the ins-and-outs of junior golf, college golf, professional tour golf and much more. Debbie was also a golf coach for a co-ed private high school for six years, winning the conference championship multiple times. She has worked at the SBGA for the past 4 years as administrator and instructor. In 2020 she decided to enter the PGA program and she is now a PGA associate in level one. With Steve as her instructor, she has developed a golf game that allowed her to pass her 36-hole PGA Playing Ability Test, compete in MAPGA section events and other competitive events. Debbie loves the game and understands what it’s like to be a beginner golfer having played around so many good players. That is why she loves to help non-golfers become golfers, help ladies feel comfortable on the golf course, help the average golfer improve their game, while they set and reach their goals.

Stephen Bosdosh, Certified SBGA Lead Instructor/Coach

Born into a golfing family of six, Stephen grew up from an early age playing and training for competitive golf. Having played at a national level on the various junior tours, he played at Montgomery Community College earning small college All-American Honors. This earned him a spot playing at the University of Maryland in the ultra-competitive ACC. Upon graduating with a double major from the prestigious Smith School of Business, Stephen became an assistant at Four Streams Golf Club. At the time, Four Streams was one of the most exclusive private golf clubs in the region. Stephen was promoted up the ranks from assistant to ultimately the Director, managing the facility. In 2017, Saddlebrook Golf Academy recruited Stephen to coach their Elite Team, consisting of the #1 junior in the world and several top 10 juniors in the world ranking. Under his leadership and coaching, many of his students went on to earn D1 college scholarships at the likes of Stanford U., UAB, Louisville, U of Fl., U of Alabama, and Ohio State. He has coached several that have risen into the top 25 in the WAGR and were members of National Team Matches. Currently, he is based at the SBGA at PB Dye GC in Ijamsville, MD, where he oversees our nationally competitive juniors and collegiate players. Stephen continues to coach the very best players in our country, travelling to coach and caddie for them in the nation’s most prestigious events. He feels the best way to make these future PGA Tour players better, is to travel and observe them in competition. He still passionately pursues his own playing goals; contining to work on his game and competes when able to. When he is not on the course, Stephen can be found on the local stream fly fishing or archery hunting with his pup, Cali.
